About The Work
Photos De Cuba consists of photographs from 4 visits to Cuba over the course of 4 years with a different focus and artistic style each trip.
The goal is to present photographs that will create a permanent record or perception of what Cuba was like at an important moment in history.
The first group of photos was taken in 2016, a few months after President Obama began to normalize relations with Cuba. This trip was also about two weeks before Fidel Castro’s death.
2016 will be viewed as the beginning of great change, both for Cuba and its relationship with the United States. The purpose of this project is to document this period of history on this beautiful island.
